Alright, I’ve been avoiding posting anything about my “Battling The Bulge” for a few weeks…mostly because I frankly fell off the weightloss wagon. That wagon was still moving, hit a bump (namely the 4th of July), and I fell flat on my cushy tushy.
There is good news though…despite my fall and disregard for all things I should be doing to get back on board, I have not gained any weight! This morning the horrid scale in my bathroom showed that I was still at 223.5 lbs. I’LL TAKE IT! Are you kidding me?! There was so much gratitude flowing from me simply for the fact that I wasn’t seeing something like 230lbs staring me back in the face.
With the weather being so hot here in Reno lately, all that I’ve wanted to eat is cold fruit, sandwiches and frosty drinks. The fruit part is the only good part about that. Which means that frozen yogurt, ice cream and too much bread have been eaten lately.
But today is a new day! Today I muster up all of my resolve and declare that “I AM BACK!” This battle will not be lost. Darn it. I am going to WIN!
Now that I’ve given myself a good little pep talk, it’s off to the kitchen to make a frosty protein shake. As much as I want to give in and have a Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino, I’m going to stick to my guns and just add a little instant espresso and a palm-full of chopped almonds to my shake and play a trick on my mind. All is good…let the battle recommence.
