Mother’s Day is just around the corner…and for the past 5 years I’ve been hit with the same question, “What do you want for Mother’s Day?”
And usually there is a look of bewilderment that is attached to that question.
Reason: My birthday is on May 1st. So my poor Charming has already hit the shopping arena once for me in a 2 week period.
My response: Old Hollywood movies, to which he always says, “That’s all you baby”, and cookbooks. So, he typically heads over to Barnes and Noble.
That way he can kill two birds with one stone…cookbooks and movies.
Sometimes I throw in hair accessories or earrings…but it’s always easier on him to just go with something solid…something that I can write down on a list for him to hunt out. The last thing he wants is to pick out something that he thinks I’m really going to like, only to be way off base. (although, he’s done very well in the past)
So, if you want something sparkly, why not have him take advantage of Kohls’ Mother’s Day Sale Pricing thru May 9th! Guaranteed Arrival By Mother’s Day (Priority Mail Shipping) Ends May 5th!
And flowers? It may sound strange, but I only really enjoy them if they’re from Costco. *Ha-HA!* They die too quickly, so I’d rather the cost be low or the money go towards something else. (this drives Charming crazy)
But if you need to get flowers to your Momma, most shipping guaranties end TOMORROW! (May 5th) So while you’re thinking about it, here’s a couple links to relieve the pressure:
FTD is offering up to 25% off their floral creations. (limited time offer)
FloraFlora is offering a 15% discount for Mother’s Day and FREE Shipping!
If you (or your mother) are lovers of baking & cooking, then perhaps you’d follow me over to FlirtyAprons.com…
Where you will find my personal favorite style: the Chic Pink. Isn’t it absolutely adorable?!
Here’s the funny thing, I almost feel guilty getting presents just for being a mom. I know, I know…we totally deserve it. I mean, come on…wiping little poopie hinies, cleaning up only God-knows-what that’s been smeared all over…and all of those middle of the night trips…let alone 9 months + child birth. Okay, maybe I’m not feeling quite so guilty now.
So my question to you is this: What have you put on a list for your hubby to bring home on Mother’s Day? And what drives him crazy about your requests?
