So, I picked Grace up from school today…and she wanted a Mommy & Me afternoon. (Little sissy was home sleeping with Grandpa on duty)
After feeling “special” for a moment, I of course said, “Okay.”
Then I made the mistake of asking her what she wanted to do.
“How about yogurt?!”, she squealed.
“Yogurt? The yogurt we have at home?”
“No silly! The the chocolate yogurt at the yogurt shop…by Walmart.” (yes, she even gave me a landmark )
“Oh…are you sure?”
“Yes yes yes! Let’s go to the yogurt shop! Come on Mom!”
So into the car we go…and then we’re off to the yogurt shop. U-Swirl to be exact.
Now, I can’t go into the yogurt shop without getting one too. I have a weakness, what can I say? So Grace grabs her cup and heads off to the chocolate pull bar and starts filling it to the brim. Meanwhile, I head to the two flavors that beckon me…Pomegranate Tart & Tart Regular. Then we head over to the toppings section…
Grace: Sour gummy worms (6), mini semi sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, mini M&M’s and mini gummy bears…topped with sugar-free chocolate sauce. (I had to eliminate sugar at some point) But by the time we get home…well, you see how much of hers is left.
Momma does a little bit better: Mini semi sweet chocolate chips, fresh strawberries and almonds. (and as you can see, I blazed through mine by the time we got home too)
We pay…we scoop…we are in heaven.
THEN, right on the other side of the building (3 doors down) is Dough Boys (donut shop). I’m good until I look through the window and see that there is only one spiral cinnamon roll left. How can I leave knowing that it doesn’t have a home? *HAHA!* Don’t you love my reasoning?
So, into the donut shop we go…my nose goes into overdrive. I don’t even know the words to use to describe the sweet, ooey-gooey smells I was enjoying. They were almost euphoric.
and we walk out with a dozen donuts…
and a half dozen glazed buttermilk donut holes.
I am in SO much trouble when Charming gets home.
(which is why I bought 2 maple bars)
But honestly, can you blame me?

What are you trying to do to me? Those doughnuts look A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. My mouth is watering just reading about them and I think may have just gained a pound imagining what they will taste like. Even if you get in trouble, I’m pretty sure it will have been worth it.
