This morning I stumbled upon a program on Ovation that was showcasing Paris. It seemed completely appropriate since I was posting my latest breakfast “Divine Stuffed French Toast”. As I was typing away, I heard the word “chocolat” uttered in a French accent. In a split second, what I was working on took a back seat…I mean, come on…they were talking about “chocolat” and “cacao” for Pete’s sake!
Apparently there is this wonderful even that takes place annually in October in the beautiful city of Paris…the Salon du Chocolat. Originally reserved for only the aristocratic population, it is now open to those willing to purchase tickets. Can you imagine just wandering from chocolatier to chocolatier indulging in their creations? Oh please! Let me come!! One day of chocolate heaven is all I ask!!!
This event has also expanded into other countries. Host cities now include: New York (USA), Tokyo (Japan), Shangai (China), Beijing (China), and Moscow (Russia). At this fabulous event, those lucky enough to visit can discover the latest and greatest from a series of chocolate tastings and demonstrations as well as witnessing chocolatiers creating their masterpieces.
In closing, they hold an amazing, astounding, jaw-dropping “Chocolate Trends Fashion Show”. Can you imagine? Fashion with wonderful decadent chocolate used in all forms imaginable! How creative these designers are…and the creations are whimsical & gorgeous! (and appetizing)

Many of your readers may not be aware that in Reno, there is a Parisian trained chocolatier, who makes chocolates rivaling anything you will find at Salon du Chocolat. Ce chocolatier m’est (That chocolatier is me).
